Cooperstown Dreams Week

I can't even begin to tell you what an amazing week we had in Cooperstown, NY
at the Cooperstown Dreams Park for a week long baseball tournament!
The boys' travel team, the Rockville Rebels, had been looking forward to this tournament for the last three years and after a lot of hard work and a lot of fundraising,
their dream was realized this past week.
They were seeded #26 out of 104 teams going into the playoffs..
so incredibly proud of all of the boys!
In other BIG NEWS, my #4 hit his FIRST HOME RUN EVER!!!

Packed and Ready!

and each player got a ring.

This past week was the last time the Rockville Rebels will play together as a team.
The entire team as well as the parents have become very close,
and we are like one big family.
Although the Rebels travel team has retired,
almost all of the boys have signed on to the new 13U travel team,
the Virginia Cobra's.
The Cobra's will start their season this fall...we are already looking forward to it!

My number #4 summed up the week in his Instagram post...
"Even though it has ended we will always be brothers and I will miss this..
I had fun this weekend and can't wait till Cobra's."

Hello Cooperstown!

We arrived in Cooperstown, NY for my twins to play in a week long tournament at the Cooperstown Dreams Park on Friday night, and it has already been an amazing two days! We won our first two games and are currently seeded number ten out of 104 baseball teams!

I will be taking a brief blogcation while I enjoy this last week of summer with my precious boys and spend time with dear friends (our team has been blessed with wonderful families that have become one big family).

Hope you have a wonderful week!

My Favorite Online Store

I do a lot of online shopping...
( mainly because I can do it late at night or early in the morning when I actually have the time)
My regular go-to online stores are LL Bean, Land's End, Amazon,
and of course Talbots, Nordstrom's and Target (all of which have actual stores too).

One of my favorite online shops is Horchow...
It's an online shop with home furnishings and home accessories.

They are owned by Neiman Marcus
and happen to be having their 40th anniversary this year.

Their merchandise is fabulous and they cater to many different tastes.
You can find everything from furniture to party napkins to desk accessories.

Here is a small sample of what you can find at Horchow...

I actually ordered two sets of this...it's on sale!

This is a VERY small sampling of the kinds of treasures you can find at Horchow!
Pop on over and take a look!

Meet The Kellogg Collection

If you live in the Northern Virginia or the Richmond area and you love decorating,
you have probably heard of The Kellogg Collection.

It is an exquisite home décor shop with everything from furniture to flowers.
While pricy, they do have sales and they happen to be having a 25% off sale until the end of August.
 (in stores only)

Visit their website here to see all of their products and store locations.
I love just about everything in their stores...all of their merchandise is classy and fabulous!

They have a blog as well...here are some photos of their designers' work,
(all of which can be found on their blog)

Rugs on display in DC

The designers are easy to work with and are very helpful, whether you are going to drop $5,000 for a rug or $50 for a flower arrangement...and they have WONDERFUL botanical prints.

The print in my entry hall is from their shop.
horrible photo....but you get an idea

Their blog is also a great resource for decorating information....lamp shade styles

Here are a few things from their collection that I would love to add to my home...

Bamboo Style Mirror

White Trellis Lamp

Summer Palace Bowl

These are just a few of their fabulous items...the selection in their stores is much more extensive than their website, but you can get a feeling of what they have from their online shop.
I love to look at their photos to get ideas for my own home!

Do you have a favorite local decorating shop?
