Being Sensible

After MUCH thought, I have decided not to get the ADORABLE
Lilly Pulitzer slipper chairs see here that I found on Saturday morning.

I REALLY want them, but I don't NEED them.
Trust me, I tried to every angle I could think of to justify their purchase.
And my sweet husband said to get them if I wanted them.
But the only place I could have used them is in my Master Bedroom, and I already have plans for that room, which aren't really adaptable to include those most perfect chairs.

I honestly thought about changing the entire direction of my color scheme...
but I am going to be sensible.
And I will probably regret it....LOL!

Here is my vision for my Master Bedroom...

I am looking at a toile, similar to the one in this photo, that has a royal blue print and it is on a background that is somewhere between light gray and taupe. I love the royal blue trim on the draperies, and plan to trim my window treatments in a similar way.

I have my eye on a beautiful four poster rice bed at one of my favorite consignment shops, and if it's still there on July 30th (when it goes to the lowest markdown) it will be mine.
I will do a bedskirt and shams in the same fabric as the window treatments and carry the same color scheme into the master bathroom.

So, as you can see from my MBR vision, the Lilly chairs do not quite coordinate with my plans.

Unfortunately, I just finished redecorating my sunroom (I did it in pink and green) and if I had not literally just purchased and recovered all of the furniture in there, I would have used the Lilly chairs in that room. It just doesn't make sense to buy them just because I want them.

If you live anywhere near Richmond, VA and are interested in purchasing them for yourself, send me and email and I will give you the contact info for the shop owner!

Love your vision for your MBR. Don't you hate it when you find something you fall in love with and it just won't work in your house? Story of my life. Have a great day.
